8 Days Aberdares, Samburu, Sweetwaters, Lake Nakuru & Masai Mara Safari

Pick up from your hotel in the morning and proceed to Aberdare National Park, which is located about 150km (93 miles) east of Nairobi. Arrive in time for lunch at the hotel and later proceed for an afternoon game drive in search of the rare black rhino, leopards, baboons, and Colubus monkey. Enjoy this beautiful scenic region which is much cooler than the savannahs and offers a completely different perspective on the country. The national park lies mainly above the tree line. The scenery is spectacular with its mountainous terrain covered in thick tropical forests swathed in mist. Dinner and overnight at Treetops Lodge or The Ark Lodge.

Early breakfast at your lodge, short game en-route and Leave Aberdares for Samburu a 4 Hrs drive and you will have a stop at the Equator line at Nanyuki town near Mt. Kenya. you will arrive Samburu with a short game drive proceeding to your camp for lunch and check in at Ashnil Samburu camp relax. Afternoon game drive across the park which is a unique resident wildlife species like the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx and the Blue legged Somali Ostrich . Dinner and overnight at the Samburu Sopa Lodge or a similar lodge.

After breakfast, head out for a full day of game viewing drive in this dry semi-arid park with its striking background view of the Mathew’s Range. The surrounding terrain is renowned for rare game, -long necked gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, and the Beisa Oryx. Leopard is the frequent passer-by. Drive through the gently flowing Uaso Nyiro river which traverses this Park provides evergreen vegetation for the wildlife found in this park. Game drives and bird watching safaris are the ideal way to experience the native wildlife in its natural splendor. Dinner and overnight at the Samburu Sopa Lodge or a similar lodge.

After breakfast depart, Samburu National Reserve and drive towards Nanyuki, for Sweetwaters Tented Camp just 30 kms from the turn off to Nanyuki town. En-route we cross the equator, which is very close to the second highest mountain in Africa, the snow capped Mount Kenya. Sweetwaters Tented Camp is located on a private game ranch and set on a 22,000-acre rhino and chimpanzee sanctuary on Ol Pejeta Ranch. Lunch at Sweetwaters Tented Camp. A late afternoon game drive where you may be able to see a variety of animals like rhino, buffalo, giraffe, and zebra and plains game.
Optional: A night game drive is done before dinner and overnight at Sweetwaters Tented Camp. Dinner and overnight at Sweetwaters Tented Camp.

Early morning breakfast game en-route leave Sweet Water for Lake Nakuru a 5 Hrs drive and you will pass through the Great Rift Valley escarpment,arriving in time for lunch and check in at Sarova lion hill Lodge. Afternoon game drive across the Pink Lake often referred so due to it’s Great masses of Flamingos not forgetting the famous white Rhino and black rhino found in this park. Dinner and overnight at Flamingo Hill Camp or a similar camp.

Early morning breakfast. After breakfast leave Lake Nakuru for Masai Mara a 5 Hrs drive, you will pass through Narok town the famous Masai town. you arrive in time for lunch. check in at Ashnil Mara camp or Sarova Mara game Camp and have lunch. Afternoon game drive through the park in search of the Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, Buffalo and a visit to Mara River. Dinner and overnight at Ashnil Mara camp or Sarova Mara game Camp or a similar Camp.

After breakfast proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodile. Dinner and overnight at the Mara Sopa lodge or Ashnil Mara camp or Sarova Mara game camp or a similar camp.

Early morning game drive later return to your lodge for Breakfast. After breakfast check out with a short game drive en-route off Masai Mara Game Reseve and drive to Nairobi. you will arrive Nairobi in time for lunch. Lunch at carnivore afterwards drop off at your respective hotel or Airport.
